Immerse yourself in the joy of sound!

I absolutely love sound therapy it has helped me so much with my personal healing journey. I am a qualified Bio-Sound therapist.

Sound therapy can be combined with all of the other treatments I offer or used as a stand alone therapy.

What is sound therapy?

Sound therapy uses sound, music and special instruments played in intuitive/therapeutic ways, to improve your physical and emotional well being.

Healing with sound is believed to date back to ancient Greece, when music was used in attempt to cure mental disorders. Throughout history music has been used to boost morale in military troops, help people work faster and more recently research has linked sound therapy to a number health benefits, from boosting the immune system and lowering stress to improving the health of premature babies.

How does sound heal?

Sound has a far greater effect on our everyday existence than we can even imagine. High frequency sound can measurably affect brainwave activity, stimulating sympathetic vibration in our cells.

It can be said that illness is a manifestation of dis-harmony within the body—an imbalance in the cells or organs. Since all matter is energy vibrating at different rates, by altering the rate of vibration we can change the structure of matter.

The entire universe is in a state of vibration. Every organ, cell, bone, tissue and liquid of the body, and also the electromagnetic fields, which surround the body have a vibratory frequency. Sound and vibration travels up to five times more effectively through water. As the human body is made up of over 70% water we can understand that sound and vibration can effect us at a cellular level. Pure frequency can help you heal, grow and change.

When we are healthy everything in our body vibrates in harmony or resonance.

Dis-ease occurs when a part of our body begins to vibrate at a different rate, out of harmony with the rest

Sound is heard not only through our ears, but through every cell in our bodies.

Sound Baths

I provide group sound baths at different locations (please see event page) or I am available to book for personal or corporate events.

What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience which can take you on a journey of deep relaxation, healing and self discovery. (No water is involved). You will be immersed in beautiful sounds and vibrations that are healing for your body, mind and spirit. All you have to do is sit or lie there, enjoy being in the " here and now " and let the vibrational healing feed your soul.

No experience is needed.

For the sound bath you will lie on a yoga mat (sit if you prefer) with a cushion under your head and a comfy blanket. Feel free to bring any extras like eye masks or your own blanket or cushions.

Sound Baths are suitable for people of all ages from young children to the elderly.

* Contraindications - not suitable for ladies in the first trimester of pregnancy. People with pace makers or other implants, those suffering from serious heart conditions, acute or serious mental health problems should consult their doctor first before attending sound therapy.

Please see the workshop and events page for dates and venues.
